Vegetable Shares from Woodbridge Farm

  • How much does a vegetable share cost?
  • The prices for 2008 were $550 for a full share and $300 for half. Prices for 2009 have not been determined yet, but will probably be similar.

  • Are there any spaces left for the 2008 season?
  • Sorry, we are totally sold out for this season. If you would like to join the mailing list for next year, please send us an email.

  • When can I sign up for the 2009 season?
  • We will probably renew returning members in February, and then start accepting new members in April. If you would like to join our mailing list to be notified when this process starts, please send us an email.

  • How big is a full vegetable share?
  • A full share is sized for an average non-vegetarian family of 2 adults and 2 children. It includes a variety of 8-12 seasonal vegetables each week.

  • Do you sell half vegetable shares?
  • Yes. Half shares include roughly the same varieties of vegetables, in smaller quantities.

  • Can I share a share?
  • Yes, you can split a full or half share among more than one household, but the entire share must be picked up at one time. It’s up to you to make arrangements to divide up the produce on your own.

  • I still can’t decide what share size to get. Can you help?
  • It’s important to consider not just the size of your household, but also other factors, such as how often you prepare meals at home vs eating out, and whether you will be using the vegetables primarily as side dishes, or to prepare entire vegetarian meals.

    How long does the vegetable season run?

    The season starts in late May and ends in early November.

  • What types of vegetables are included?
  • Check the estimated harvest schedule for details.

  • Can I buy any other products from Woodbridge Farm?
  • Yes. Woodbridge Farms accepts individual orders for beef and pork products when available. Email to check availability on Friday, and then if possible your order will be delivered the following Tuesday.

Fruit Shares from Hepworth Farm

  • How much does a fruit share cost?
  • The price for 2008 was $205. Prices for 2009 have not been determined yet, but will probably be similar.

  • Are there any spaces left for the 2008 season?

  • What types of fruit are included?
  • Strawberries, cherries, plums, peaches, raspberries, nectarines, grapes, apples, and pears.

  • How long does the fruit season run?
  • The fruit season starts in late June and ends in early November.

    Do you offer half fruit shares?

    No, sorry.

  • Can I buy a fruit share if I don’t have a vegetable share?
  • No, sorry.

Volunteering

  • What are the minimum volunteer requirements?
  • Each share (whether full or half) is required to do four hours of volunteer time (2 distribution shifts of 2 hours each). If you are splitting a share, the share group as a whole is responsible for four hours.

  • How can I sign up for my volunteer shift?
  • Check the Google Calendar for availability, and then email your request to the distribution coordinator.
